The Alice Prize

April 17, 2026

One simple place for entries, judging, results and coordination.

The Alice Springs Art Foundation partnered with HutSix to replace a fragmented manual awards process with a fully integrated digital platform.

The result is a streamlined system that brings entries, judging, communications and publishing into one place, reducing administration time and delivering a more professional experience for artists, judges and organisers.

The Challenge

The Alice Springs Art Foundation was managing its annual awards program across a mix of disconnected tools, including WordPress, Zoom, Mailchimp, spreadsheets and manual workflows.

Each stage of the process required significant hands on coordination. Entries needed to be reformatted, payments manually tracked, judging materials compiled and website updates handled separately. This created duplication, inconsistencies and ongoing administrative pressure.

The Coordinator was spending over 270 hours per awards cycle managing these tasks, often chasing missing information and manually preparing files across multiple systems.

The Solution

HutSix designed and delivered a centralised Awards Hub, giving the Foundation a single, secure dashboard to manage the entire awards cycle.

Built on AWS and integrated with the Duda website, the platform connects every part of the process into one system. From entry submission to final publishing, everything is managed in one place with automated workflows reducing the need for manual input.

The Impact

The Awards Hub has significantly reduced the time and effort required to run the program.

Administrative workload has dropped from over 270 hours per cycle to under 40 hours. Tasks that previously required weekly manual input are now automated or completed in minutes.

The Outcome

The ASAF Awards Hub represents a shift from manual coordination to a streamlined, automated process.

The Aice Prize now delivers a more consistent and professional awards experience while significantly reducing administrative workload.

The result is:

  • Major time savings
  • Reduced operational complexity
  • Improved data accuracy
  • Faster publishing and production timelines
  • A secure, centralised archive for future use

This is a practical, long term investment in the efficiency and sustainability of the Alice Springs Art Foundation’s awards program.
